Yoshi Woolly World Knitting Pattern

This may just be the cutest video game ever, if you’re a knitter. Yoshi’s Wooly World is a new game for the Wii U, in which the wee dinosaur (in crocheted form) works his way through a world made of knit tubes, yarn-ball trees and crocheted towers. He collects yarn balls to use as weapons, and I don’t even care what the game is about because it’s adorable.

Crochet Pattern for Green, blue and pink Yoshi’s inspired by Woolly world. This pattern is written in English using American terminology. I have used DK weight yarn and a 1.5mm crochet hook and Yoshi stands at approx. 15cm (6”) though yarn weight and hook size can be adjusted for different sized Yoshis. In Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World, additional designs were added to accommodate for the new amiibo released since the original game. These patterns are exclusive to this game, and the patterns from the original Yoshi's Woolly World can still be used. Additionally, players can customize their Yoshi with their own patterns.

Developers at Good-Feel, makers of the game, say they made real items out of yarn when developing the backgrounds and other items in the game.

The attention to detail really shows, because it looks real.

The game is expected to be released in Europe in June and elsewhere later in the year. The Yoshi amibos that will come with the game (choice of pink, blue or green) are also knit, which is kind of strange since he’s crocheted in the game, but either way they’re adorable.

It almost makes me want to buy a Wii.
