Yoshi's Woolly World Guide

Bounceabout Woods

Bounceabout Woods - Yoshi's Woolly World (OST)

How about we bounce around the woods? The jumpy sound is what makes this song as it is. The happy flute playing all over the song together with some really cool percussion, maybe a bit of xylophone and electronica here and there is what makes the song as it is! If you didn't know where to find it, try to play at the Stage with the same name!

So bring along your little Yoshi around when trekking in a forest and find some bounce pads!

The Desert Pyramid Beckons

The Desert Pyramid Beckons - Yoshi's Woolly World (OST)

A desert pyramid? Of course, take me there! With a guitar that starts off the song and plays throughout the song together with some oboe (closest I can come to) and the darbouka drum playing slowly is what makes this song so joyful, foreign sounding, yet a happy song! Why don't we jump onto a place with the same name?

(Again?!)

Lava Scarves and Red Hot Blargss

Lava Scarves and Red Hot Blargss - Yoshi's Woolly World (OST)

Some electric guitar and being on a volcano does sound right?! With a really strong start and drums jumping right, together with cymbals and some playing on a 'cow bell' (do you say so?) is what makes this song sound much more tougher and rougher compared to the majority of the tracks in Yoshi's Woolly World. You can find it when you're at the Stage with the same name.

(No way!)

Fluffin' Puffin Babysitting

Yoshi
Fluffin' Puffin Babysitting - Yoshi's Woolly World (OST)

Ahh.. yet another track with a stage with the same name. Let's fly above the clouds! With a really happy piano, guitar being in the background, clapping jumping in and a bass which lifts up the song are the ingredients for making a really happy song! So, let's play the stage!

Up Shuttlethread Pass

Up Shuttlethread Pass - Yoshi's Woolly World (OST)

The beginning reminds me of the song being made to Nintendo 64. It is so wonderful, slow yet a calm song to be in a platformer like this. Xylophones coming in and makes you dream away to a place somewhere in your mind... :thought_balloon:

The post is meant to somehow 'celebrate' (I don't know if it's right) for the release of the latest game in the Yoshi series:

Yoshi's Crafted World! *

Alright, I know what the majority of you would think:

*Eyy, you shouldn't celebrate such stupid game like that!*

By the way:

Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World - All 31 Short Movies

I love it.

But don't worry. I do have to confess that I like Yoshi, since he's cute.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading the texts and listening to the songs. Constructive feedback will as usual be welcomed, so don't be afraid to comment! I won't bite or do any harm.

*: The post is released before the release of the game. Sorry for the confusion.

Wiks are tiny undead fireballs that first appear in Yoshi's Woolly World. They are found in world 2-7, The Desert Pyramid Beckons!, and World 4-6, Spooky Scraps! Don't Get Spooked!, flying up and down, making them very similar to Cloud Drops from previous Yoshi's Island games. If a Wik is covered by a Spooky Scrap, it will appear much more aggressive, move slightly faster and become invincible. As a result, they can hurt Yoshi if he touches it in this state, although they can be defeated by throwing a Yarn Ball at them while they are uncovered.
